In the harbor of Suva, Fijis capital, SILVER BLUE first found
an anchoring place next to fishing boats and an old hut, sitting
in the middle of the water. |

But finally, after lots of questionings, we do get a space
in the Suva Royal Yacht Club. One can only enter it during high
tide, but, after missing them for a long time, we eventually get
a mooring with water- and electricity connections.
|
And that does help giving SILVER BLUE some pampering. We're
expecting friends from our home country Slovenia for 4 weeks.
They are also Antoine's godparents, so seeing them again is even
more appreciated - even if they don't bring the best kind of weather
with them.

After doing some shopping we set out for the nearby island
Beqa. Just to get them into the right mood we get some strong
blasts of wind, in addition to the rain showers … but our
friends stick it out bravely. |
Here on this island we'll conduct our first visit of a local village.
Traditions demand that one visits the village eldest first, brings him
a gift (Sevu Sevu) and asks his permission to visit the village - where,
in this case, people still cook in ground oven.
After being shown through the village and greeted most friendly
by the villagers, we enjoy the beach, the warm water and the beautiful
coral reefs.
More about the 7 of us, soon, right here.
Until then … take care!
