10.06. - 15.06.2003

On Tuesday our group from the weekend meets again for lunch - we're having the fish we caught on our way back. The fish and some potatoes are baked in the oven - yummy!
Surprisingly SILVER BLUE has a visitor in the afternoon: the team of a local station asks if they can use the ship as a backdrop on some shots they need for the report they're doing on Cartagena. Well, why not.

Wednesday's visitor is of quite different nature. Luznelas sister Liliana and her husband stop by in the evening. Liliana is now 7 months pregnant and the girls entertain themselves by already giving the baby a face.

This week I also set up the wind generator again. The new holding system was produced here, is of good quality and only costs 1/5 of the junk "Captain Stupid" put together in Venezuela. So, I'm going to give the wind generator another chance to prove its worth. But, I do already have a plan for a fixed bimini with additional solar panels worked out in my mind.

This weekend - and especially June 14 - is a very special day. My "babe" Luznela is celebrating her 25 birthday, Herbert, my mothers partner is celebrating his 80th birthday and Christopher from the catamaran Kassoumay is celebrating his ?!? birthday. Seems to be a good day for special people. Let me repeat my best and most sincere wishes to the three of them right here.
Apparently my surprise gift, a guitar, seems to find mercy before her eyes.

In the evening we enjoy a birthday menu with her family, at a nice restaurant in the historical center.

More about SILER BLUE and her preparations for the journey to the St. Blas islands
… next week here, if you like

Until then, take care
