Seals, act three.
We give our new toy, the canoe, a test run here in San Cristobal. It is really stable and it's a lot of fun paddling through the bay in it. Our friends also like it; actually they like it so much they take possession of it.

But there is more ... but I'll get to that later.
We enjoy our last days here and admire the huge frigate birds that fly around SILVER BLUE.

We also give a hot-dog dinner for three young female doctors Nela made friends with. The doctors came from the mainland and do duty here for one year.

Actually we'd planned to leave heading for the island Isabella on Friday, but on that day there is a strong wind blowing from the west - and that's exactly the direction we wanted to go. Therefore we have to postpone our departure until Saturday - a day on which we get great aft wind.
But, what happened to us on Saturday morning is really something. Even though we made the railing "seal-proof" last night, using plastic bags, the next morning we find three of these cheeky chaps relaxing on the table in the cockpit.

Even as we weigh anchor at 4pm the 6 seals on the stern steps don't seem to plan on staying here in San Cristobal. We have to encourage them quite a bit to get them to disappear into the water and remain in their home territory.
On Sunday morning we spot the sunken volcano on the Isla Tortuga and at 10am we enter the Puerto Villamil, The island Isabella's harbor.

More about this fantastic island, next week.
Until then … take care!
