The week starts early. Since it was rather late on Sunday evening and also
quite windy, I dropped anchor right in front of the Club Nautico. But, the
Club Nautico isn't really built for ships of SILVER BLUEs size, so at 7am,
under light winds, I take her back to her mooring place. And at 8am my Spanish
lessons start again.

On Thursday I'm presented a very special surprise: a friend gives me an invitation to her sisters wedding party. So on Friday evening I make my way to the church "St.Cruz de la Manga". A typical catholic ceremony takes place here and the following wedding party takes place at the couple's home, as it traditionally does here. And, if there's not enough place there, tables and chairs are simply set up on the street. In general Columbians don't spend their leisure time in front of the TV in the living room, but sitting together in front of their homes. |
| After the wedding pictures are taken a happy, unrestricted party starts,
and I'm welcomed heartily. The people here are very open and not prejudiced
and apparently truly enjoy the party. A picture taken during the evening
expresses these peoples joy for live very well, I think. On Saturday I'm invited to a birthday. Together with some friends we take a taxi to a rather plain part of town. Tables and chairs and huge music boxes are set up on the street here as well. And then the dancing starts. |

Seems to be party week. The Club Nautico celebrates its 20-year anniversary
on Sunday, inviting all the clubs visitors to a large brunch.
What happened during the next week
read about it here, soon, if you
like
until then, take care!
