We also spend this week in Panama City, sucking lollies.
Just kidding - we're busy every day getting things done we can only do here, like applying for a visa for French Polynesia. Nela needs one from the first day onward, for everybody else (apart from the French) it's only mandatory when staying for more than 3 months.
We visit the French embassy in the old part of Panama City and the extremely friendly French consul tells us what we need. After two days we've got it all together and drop the documents at for the consuls. He's very helpful again, even though we dropped in 5 minutes before closing time.

Most officials could take him as an example - especially in Germany. Our documents are sent by mail, via Paris, to the high commissioner in Papetee who'll decide whether we can stay for more than 3 months or not. Let's hope for the best; French Polynesia, with the Marquesas, Tuamotus and Society Islands, is rather large and very much worth visiting.

This week we also had a royal visitor at our anchoring spot in front of Panama City - the cruiser "Queen Elisabeth" joined us - a beautiful, classical legend amongst the pleasure cruisers.

Next week there'll be more about SILVER BLUE, the nature reserve Isla Coiba, other magnificent islands with their unique underwater worlds (and great beautiful pictures) and much, much more … if you like.

Until then … take care

Tom & Nela
